I thought an up to date photo of this obstruction might come in useful.

The wooden rail to the right has been broken off since the earlier photos on this site.

Many people cycle with panniers full of shopping - or carrying carrier bags on their handle bars, it is common for these people in particular to have difficulty cycling through this slalom.

Lighting is not well maintained in this area and graffiti, which on occasion has been anti-cyclist, is not removed in a timely manner.

According to discussions at the North Area Committee lighting, and perhaps other aspects of maintenance, are the responsibility of Tesco here.
