North Han River Railroad Bridge at Joan, Han River Trail
"The Yangpyeong, South Han River Biking Course in Namyangju
The South Han River Biking Course was created on the base of demolished railroad and railroad bridge on the banks of the South Han River. This is a 26.8km course between Paldang Station of Namyangju and Yanggeundaegyo Bridge of Yangpyeong. Thanks to the opening of the South Han River Biking Course, the existing biking road from Seoul to Paldang Station has been extended to Yangpyeong.
The chief characteristic of the South Han River Course is the fact that bikers can enjoy cultural assets that are near the river (i.e., Paldang Lake, Dasan Historic Site and Dumulmeori, small stations, and North Han River Railroad Bridge). Of particular note is the North Han River Railroad Bridge, which was originally built in 1939 and restored in 1952. In addition, a wooden path was created on the bridge and tempered glass was installed in four spots. People can see the river water through the glass. Bongan Tunnel (261m) is automatically controlled with efficient illumination and sensors.
The tunnel commands a fine view at night and guarantees safe bike riding in the evening. This biking course of the Four-Rivers Development Project is a 63km-long section that runs from Paldang Station to Gangcheonbo of Yeoju."
