cycle ramp / chute set onto long steep flight of steps between upper and lower seaside promenades at Clacton on Sea & by the pier). The steepness and length means that considerable physical strength is needed to be able to negotiate the ramp and the risk of getting stuck / having an accident halfway up if one's strength gives up mid way.
