Everybody's favorite cycle parking stand - the railing. It offers high capacity, good security, good support, is attractive to look at and abundantly available. The only drawback is that the railing owners often take exception to their ironwork being used in this way.
Scenes like this, or threatening notices fixed to railings, are a sure sign that there is insufficient cycle parking in the area, or that the cycle parking provided is of a poor quality , is percieved as insecure or unsafe, or is just downright inconvenient to use.
